Depression

We all have times that we feel low or down. For example, due to misfortune, loss or a quarrel. If this sadness or gloominess does not automatically clear after a few days, but takes longer than two weeks and affects daily functioning, we call it depression.

Symptoms associated with depression are both physical (insomnia, fatigue, a lack of energy, an enlarged appetite or lack of appetite) and mental (persistent depressed mood, little interest in pleasurable activities, impaired concentration, and feelings of guilt) .
